Bunker Alejandro
About this location
Bunker Alejandro offers a stark collision between wartime decay and the bright Atlantic coastline, where sunlit views of Las Palmas and the sea sit in sharp contrast to the crumbling concrete and rusted metal frames scattered across the arid hillside. The interior is a dim, graffiti-scarred tunnel system, its walls flaking and broken, while open chambers reveal circular pits and tangled vegetation reclaiming the structure. A stone blockhouse with barred entrances stands half-buried in sparse, dry terrain, and everywhere the surfaces carry layers of spray-paint—including a haunting blue face and the name DANIEL—marking decades of abandonment and trespass. It’s a ruin that rewards exploration with unsettling silence, raw deterioration, and one of the best accidental vistas on the island.
