Bunker V
About this location
Despite the cheery yellow “Bunker Museum” sign, now half-swallowed by grass, Bunker V feels utterly forgotten. A preserved concrete walkway lined with rotting wooden walls cuts through the site, but the wildflowers and weeds are winning the fight. The bunkers themselves—some concrete, one brick—are heavily tagged with graffiti, their entrances worn and crumbling. At least one is partially buried in sand, slowly being pulled back into the landscape under a heavy, clouded sky. It’s less a museum and more a monument to decay.
