Near the entrance, the storybook grounds are still eerily intact—life-sized toy soldiers stand guard in a reflective pond, while a grand brick mansion and a pristine pink castle with arched walkways sit well-kept under open skies. But push deeper into the site, and the fairy tale curdles: a second, identical pink castle has been swallowed by overgrowth, its turrets and arched windows crumbling behind a wall of foliage. That shift from manicured fantasy to silent decay is what makes this place so haunting.
