At Maison Bilzen, the two-story brick house is swallowed in ivy and wild foliage, its upper and lower windows boarded shut in that unmistakable “dicht gemaakt” way—sealed up for good, which is a shame. A dark water stain streaks down the weathered facade like a slow scar, while an open doorway gapes darkly on the right, offering the only real way in. Around the sunny side, tangled branches have almost completely claimed a corner, half-hiding a grey trash bin with an orange lid beneath the greenery. Nature is steadily taking it all back, board by board, leaf by leaf.
