Maison Ducks in Antwerp is a study in slow, patient decay, where time has settled into every surface. Inside, a crumbling staircase sheds concrete debris across the floor, evidence of years of neglect. Outside, the yard has surrendered to moss and tall weeds, cradling a collection of forgotten vintage cars—including a pair of Citroën 2CVs—in various states of rust and ruin. One faded red car sits half-buried before a sagging wooden shed, its exposed front end and dusty windows overtaken by vegetation beneath a partly cloudy sky. It’s a quiet, heavy place, caught somewhere between abandonment and being reclaimed entirely by the earth.
