Maison Fish
About this location
Inside Maison Fish, decay moves from room to room through peeling blue floral and red patterned wallpaper, exposed plaster and brickwork, and ceilings that have lost tiles to dark voids or hang in torn, decayed sheets. Graffiti covers the walls and doors, from white MEMORIES and blue spray paint to 2BRO, with a dark brown door opening onto a black-and-white checkered tile hallway strewn with dry leaves, dirt, and torn material. A second dark door stands ajar ahead beneath a drop ceiling, and daylight shows through a far doorway, while elsewhere a wood-slat ceiling overlooks debris, scattered cardboard, broken floor tiles, and a collapsed pile of black material. In one room, a broken masonry heater or stove has a large hole and exposed brick beneath a vertical strip of missing plaster, and blue spray paint marks the floor near an open doorway into a dark adjacent room.
