Megan Church
About this location
Megan Church in Arapahoe is an abandoned site where daylight still enters through glass-paneled and metal space-frame roofs, revealing a central brick tower with arched and barred openings, green vines, and graffiti-covered brick and concrete. Two-level walkways with black metal railings overlook an indoor atrium or courtyard, its red brick floor strewn with broken electronics, monitors, wooden furniture, boxes, and trash. In one section, a children's play area remains in place but unused, with a multi-level soft play structure of red and blue padded poles and black netting, a yellow spiral tube slide, green padded flooring, a drop ceiling with a square vent, and a brownish tiled floor scattered with small debris and a white ball. A large dilapidated interior, likely a former church or auditorium, holds a damaged red upholstered bench or pew, a raised stage area with dark curtains, a white panel, and stairs leading upward beneath a curved balcony, all beneath the glass roof and marked by vandalism and debris. The dim, neglected atmosphere and scattered remains give the whole location a quiet, derelict, abandoned feel.
