Mold House
About this location
Behind a dirt-and-debris yard, the Mold House in Oost-Vlaanderen is a collapsing single-story ruin, its broken walls and missing windows framed by a collapsed outbuilding and a junk pile marked with red warning signs. Inside, the rooms are frozen in neglect: peeling wallpaper, exposed plaster, and floors buried under papers, rubble, and textiles. A wooden table still holds a yellow mug, bowl, plate, and a book, while nearby a plaid-covered mattress and worn chairs sit under harsh artificial light. In another corner, a stained dark stove stands before a marbled fireplace, and a shattered silver CRT television rests on a wooden cabinet beneath a black fan. Everything is layered in dust and decay, giving the house a heavy, melancholic stillness.
