A white wall-mounted cabinet still holds clean glassware against wood paneling, and a separate room with a leaf-patterned tablecloth, white plastic chairs, a wooden hutch, brick fireplace wall, wooden trim and a white heater feels dusty and disused. Above, a cluttered attic or loft sits under a steep wooden roof with exposed rafters and gaps that let daylight through, its floor strewn with boards, debris, a dark cabinet or box, a wooden chest and a small chair-like frame.
