Half-buried into the slope, the Wehrmacht Fernmeldebunker presents a mouth of pitch-black concrete against the surrounding moss and creeping vegetation, its thick walls weathered and streaked with the damp of decades. Loose soil and a carpet of dead leaves and twigs swallow the foreground, while a rusted metal frame slumps into the earth above the opening, evidence of long-abandoned hardware. Sunlight rakes across the left side of the structure, etching the rough, pebble-studded overhang into sharp relief, yet it fails to penetrate the doorway’s absolute darkness.
