The Beren Bunker is a classic Dutch viewpoint bunker, its board-formed concrete exterior now weathered and scrawled with graffiti, with exposed rebar and rusted fixtures signaling decades of neglect. A narrow doorway and concrete steps lead down into a small, peeling cell where the pale blue walls are marked with black tags. Beyond that lies a more open space, dim and decaying, but saved by a circular skylight that pours in a surprisingly strong, clean light—the kind that makes you forget the damp decay for a moment. It's a small, straightforward spot, more about the atmosphere of abandonment than sprawling rooms, but the contrast of that stark concrete and the light filtering down gives it a quiet, haunting appeal.
